“And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.1 Corinthians 12:26
Last night, Marsha, from Heart of the Matter, lost her 3 year old son. Please join me in praying for this family as they grieve. My heart breaks for his parents and two older brothers.
WHEN GOD CALLS
When God calls little children to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometimes question.
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child.
Who does so much to make our world,
seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold,
So he picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them,
and so he takes but a few,
To make the Land of Heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind knows will always be"Goodbye".
So when a little child departs,
we who are left behind must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.

I got your email this morning and my heart grew heavy as I read it. I can't imagine this unbearable loss. :(
Excellent tribute.
I am so sorry these parents must go thru such a traumatic and devastating ordeal. You all are in my family's prayers! I love the tribute, BTW
You are very good at making people feel loved, and special. My deepest condolensces to this family, in their time of grief. I dont think we can ever understand why God chooses to take such a young life. I hope their faith, and love will get them through.
Oh... :*( I am so sorry to hear...
I am so very sorry to hear of this family's loss ... the pain they feel is probably beyond expression.
Please forgive me, but I have to speak up about the poem "When God Calls." The God I worship does not TAKE children away from families. His inspired word tells us that He IS love (1 John 4:8), and a loving Almighty does not need to take children away from Moms and Dads and siblings. He is NOT that selfish.
My heartfelt condolences not only to this family, but also to all their friends.
This is so terribly sad, my heart breaks just a little more. I hope that Dozer and Collin are together in heaven and realize how much we miss them.
My prayers are with Marsha, her family and her friends.
My heart just aches reading this. I have kids, I have a 3 year old little boy so I just cannot imagine in any way what Marsha is going through!
My thoughts are with the family during this very difficult time!
Oh I am so sorry!
I read about this on Darcy's page last night. I am so sorry about this and my heart goes out to the family!
I am so sorry. No one should have to lose a child. My thoughts and prayers will be with them.
So sorry to hear your friend's loss. Must be devastating. My prayers go out to her and her family.
Prayers going up as I type.
My heart hursts to read this.
Prayers to the family.
My thoughts and prayers will be with the family in this time of heartbreaking loss.
That is so unfathomably sad to me. I always get all choked up when I read about a child dying. I have heard so many tragic stories. I like your blog, by the way. We seem to have a lot in common, so I think I will subscribe to it. I am a Christian homeschooling mom of five. My hubby retired after 20 years in the Navy in 2004.
I have made a post asking for people to cover the Drews family in prayer for 24 hours leading up to the 25th of September, marking one month without "Dozer". Please stop by and add your name if you'd like, and share it on your blog for others that might be willing to "help" this family through prayer.
Thanks,
