I teared up reading this. What an amazing day and an amazing time. This election brought us all together, regardless of who we were voting for we were all out there voting. We all have hope in our hearts. Thanks for posting this and for sharing your prayer!

Thanks for the compliment. I hope that Josh and I will be good parents. I know that you can never be completely prepared to have kids - I felt the same way about marriage - I don't think we ever know exactly what we're getting into when we make these huge life changes. But fortunately God is in the mix of everything and guides you along the way. I am thankful for that!!

Awesome post - my dad wrote an email that talked about how the election of Obama restored some of his hope in this country's ability to adapt and grow. I prayed your prayer as well, and hope that Obama proves to be as effective behind the desk as he is behind the podium.

Although I may not share your exact spiritual beliefs, Amen to your prayer. I cried as well as I finally got it through my head that they weren't going to suddenly reverse the numbers. His speech left me breathless.
